New Jersey man accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl he met online

BRIDGETON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Bridgeton, New Jersey man is in police custody accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

Alex Torres-Lopez, 35, is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and related offenses.

Investigators say he connected with the victim on Roblox and Snapchat.

Then, he allegedly met her in Trenton on multiple occasions to engage in sexual activity.

Investigators say Torres-Lopez also had the victim send him pornographic images and videos of herself.

The investigation is ongoing.
